We are a Company founded with the single goal of producing some of the finest hand made amplifiers ever offered.  I have spent over 20 years intimately acquainting myself with the circuits of the Classic British and American tube amps of today and yesteryear.

It is my objective to aid you in bringing out the best in your amps Tone. "Helping others achieve their Tonal dreams one amp at a time." is something I have always enjoyed doing.

If you have an amplifier in need of repair or a little "Mojo" drop me a line. You want a custom set of Mercury Transformers?  I can offer special in house pricing on any custom set to off-set installation costs and save you money... I also work hard to keep my shop rates as low as possible!!!

At times I will get backed up... but most times turn around is quick. Email me with questions and product details and I will provide you with answers.

People will often ask me "How can I improve my Amps Tone"?... There is no one answer to this instead there is a seemingly endless array of probabilities.
But there are methods to achieve most anything a customer is after.

Every amp that comes into the shop is carefully over-looked while considering the customers goals; then  recommendations are made.  We will work closely with you through-out this process to assure that our work meets your needs.

Everyone wants a small light weight combo that can go from the bedroom to the stage while delivering studio quality tones at any volume level. Nothing beats the Tone of a fully-cranked, all tube amplifier! and for this reason the market has been flooded with products that promise to tame your amp and deliver those tones in one way or another... most fall very short of that mark, but a few are very good.

I began to design my own amp and decided that I would search out the perfect "project amp" to Modify, in stages, into the perfect "professional studio amplifier".

My parameters were simple, I wanted to start with a low-watt all tube, Class A, combo that was well built and already had fairly good tones.  In this, I also knew, that my ideal candidate would use a single 10" speaker and a single EL84, with no more than 2-3 preamp tubes and would be voiced for those Classic British Tones... enter the C5...

I, like many others, was impressed with what Marshall Amplifiers(c) C5 combo had to offer, it met all my parameters plus some!!! So I decided that this was the amp to start with.

By sharing some approaches to working with an amplifier and reviewing much of the thought, theory and techniques that  I have been using and refining for years to personalize or customize any Amplifier; It is my hope that C5 owners everywhere will use this information, along with my MODS, KITS and related Products to bring out the very best of what their Amplifier has to offer and finally nail down that dream studio amplifier you've always wanted.

To this end I am proud to introduce 5Watt.net a site dedicated specifically to the purpose of taking your 5 Watt amplifier where-ever you may dream.

Enjoy...
